President's Message
I would like to welcome you to the re-vamped Playhouse, Whitley Bay after two years "playing away from home". The Society was at the People's Theatre in Heaton for two shows. Now that we are back in our own home we present our production of 'Sleeping Beauty', led by our production team of Rowland Maughan and Joan Walton.
'Sleeping Beauty' is one of the more popular pantomimes and, like all good pantomimes, is based on an old fairy tale. The origins of the story are based in a book published in 1697 called 'La Belle au Bois dormant' - translated as the beautiful lady asleep in the woods.
