The Society's ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING will be held on 10th June 2008. Commencing at 7.30p.m. St Andrews United Reformed Church, Monkseaton.

We are presenting "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" at the Peoples theatre in January 2009 and are appealing for help locating a set of drum majorette costumes. The costumes are needed for a special scene in the Pantomime, if anyone knows where the Society can obtain these costumes from please contact Valerie Hopper our Secretary.
The search is on for someone willing to volunteer to be the Treasurer to the Whitley Bay Pantomime Society. This volunteer would be required to keep a check on the financial side of the production, attend monthly committee meetings and join with other members in help create a happy and successful show. If you or someone you know would like to be the Societies Treasurer please contact our Secretary.

The great week we had at the People's Theatre, Heaton with "Jack & the Beanstalk" is now a distant memory and most of you will be fully occupied in either school, college or university activities or planning a well deserved summer holiday break from work. Spare a thought however for your hard working committee who having overseen the move to our temporary new home are already planning the 2009 Production. To avoid clashing with The People's own Pantomime and the two other leading Theatres in Newcastle the Society will present "Goldilocks & The Three Bears". This is different type of Pantomime where the well known tale of the three bears is interwoven with bright, colourful circus life.
There is a change to our normal practice for the week's. Please take careful note. The Pantomime will run from Monday 5th January to Sunday 11th January 2009
The are two matinees. One on Saturday 10th and one on Sunday 11th. Dress Rehearsal 4th January.
Times: 7.00pm Mon-Sat Matinees 2.15pm
DANCERS AUDITIONS TAKE PLACE ON SUNDAY 22nd JUNE COMMENCING 1.00pm
REQUIREMENTS ARE
Tots (14 Required) 4 years and above. No taller than 3ft 8in GRADE 1-3
Juniors (6 Required) GRADE 3-5 Must have Ballet/Modern/Jazz/Tap
Seniors (8 Required) 15 years and above. ELEMENTARY/GRADE 6 Ballet/Modern/Jazz/Tap
PRINCIPALS AUDITIONS. 9th September from 7.00pm
16 Years and over. Expected to Sing, act and move well on stage
CHORUS AUDITIONS. 11th September from 7.00pm
14 Years upwards. Strong singing voices, some knowledge of dancing/movement prefered.

NODA News: Please refer directly to their site website for up to date news or ask our Secretary for a copy of the NODA National News Spring Issue Magazine. There is to be a Regional get-Together on Thursday 22nd May at Gateshead Fell Cricket Club of all members in North Tyneside, Blyth, Newcastle, Gateshead, South Tyneside and Sunderland.

WHITLEY BAY PLAYHOUSE
The Playhouse is currently closed for refurbishment and is planned to re-open in Spring 2009 - too late for the Society's next production. All Society's based at the Playhouse are still active however, be it at Tynemouth Priory Theatre, North Shields Saville Exchange, various School premises or like us, at the Peoples Theatre Heaton. Please do your best to support them whilst away from "home"
